Shopaholic Ties the Knot By Sophie Kinsella

his was an excellent book, a laugh a page. It was so funny to see her try and chose between two weddings. I’ve almost read the whole series ( all in the wrong order! )` The only one I have one book left which is Shopaholic and Baby.

Rebecca Bloomwood has the dream job. She’s a personal shopper, so is able to spend other people’s money all day instead of her own. And she gets paid for doing it. The perfect job, the perfect man – gorgeous Luke Brandon – and now … the perfect wedding.

Yes, Luke has proposed and wedding bells are in sight. No excuses are needed to start the shopping trip of all time. And Becky’s parents are just assuming that the wedding will be at home – a marquee in the garden and Becky in her mum’s wedding dress, which she’s been saving specially for the occasion. But Luke’s mother has very different ideas – a huge affair in New York in a forest glade setting – or perhaps a Venetian Ball.

Now Becky’s getting confused. She doesn’t want to say ‘no’ to anyone. The plans are going ahead, and soon it will be too late to turn back – from either wedding…

This is one of the funniest books I’ve read. Sophie Kinsella is on of the funniest authors to write books theses days.

Becky is going to get married, Luke’s mother wants a plaza extravaganza whilst Becky’s mother wants a home wedding at the family church back in England. She tries to cancel the Plaza wedding that Luke’s mothers paying for to find out that if she cancels she has to pay a fee of $100,000. She is tangled in a web of weddings stuck and unable to get out. But can she find a way out?

My Favorite Quote

So what are you going to call her? (Becky)

We can’t decide, what would you call a baby? (Suze)

Ooh! I don’t know, Maybe Lauren, after Ralph. Or Dolce. I pause for a few moments Vera after Vera Wang. (Becky)

Brothers Humph …..

My Brother Tries To Make Mischief , Pooping Randomly On The Floor ,  Standing In The Fish Tank.

Today He Tipped Out The Penny Jar , Filled With About Three Hundred Pennies. I Go Up To Him Ready To Tell Him Off.He Just Smiles At Me , Holds Up Two Pennies . And Goes ” One , Two ” Showing Me The Different Coins , Getting It Right As Well .Normally I Would Have Shouted At Him Saying That He Needs To Pick Them Up And That I Don’t Care What They Are. But I Couldn’t Because He Saw My Face And Went ” I Love You So Much!” .It Was Adorable , He Slurred All The Words Into Each Other.Basically He Said “ILuvveOoooSoMushhhh”. I Ended Picking Up The Coins Because He Ran Off To Play . What Cheek!!

Simone Pain Poem

“The way the world spins,
and weaves it’s telling tale,
through tulips blooming red,
while the weeping willow exhales.
the way the listening stars twinkle,
to the night owl singing his loyal song,
to his eternal lover: the riverbed,
where all love, truth & beauty derive from.
I am influenced by all things around me,
all things that surround me,
beauty can be seen in absolutely everything,
these things I see are what compel me to paint and compel me to sing.
I love the perfection within imperfection.”

I absolutely Love This , It Speaks A Subject That Takes A Lot To Explain But She Did It In A Few Words

Like Birds

No Feeling , No Emotion,

A Plain Canvas With No Thoughts Or Ideas Painted On It

This Is What We Were.

Then One Day

One Person Decided To Change Us All.

He Made Us Think Differently ,

Gave Us A Brain ,

Gave Us A Conscience.

Made Us Dare To Do Things,

Impossible Things.

We Changed Life ,

Changed The Sunset .

Red And Orange ,

Glow In The Sky .

Dare To Dream,

Dare To Fly .

Wings He Gave Us ,

Wings We Shall Use.

We Are Not Afraid To Fly ,

To Try .

We Infringed All Possibilities And Rules .

And Flew Free ,

Just Like Birds.
